January and February have been filled with photography and editing.  My new camera has inspired me to take my photography to the next level and I just can't get enough.  So if you don't like pictures just skip this post. 

This is D750's flare issue.  I love it.  It isn't supposed to do this but wow what a cool icy winter shot.  (oh and winter is too cold this year, cannot wait for spring temps and more photo ops)

Sid is super growing!  Legs are getting longer and pants are getting shorter.  :)

This is Jagger being Jagger.  He is such an wonderful addition to our family.  So full of love and games and sweetness.

 This was fun to take but a bit nerve wracking.  This is the winter via heading to Montreal during a significant snow fall.

 Valentines day was filled with goodies and roses from my hunny.  Jagger really enjoys eating the baby's breath!!!

 This is my favorite so far.  Baby elephants at the Dublin zoo!  Finally edited in a way I like!

I am also doing posters now and graphics.  Here is another 4 way street poster I designed for the gig on March 14th.  Can't wait to see Kenny play again!

Celebrations!

December was filled with celebrations.  It was a wonderful month with friends and family!  Sid went for a sleep over and we went to a show Ken was playing downtown.  It was amazing.  4 Way Street preformed and even some special family came and watched!  It was extra awesome because Ken did some solo stuff too!

Next celebration was Grandmama's 80th birthday with some of her sisters.

After the sisters left we gathered the cousins and headed out to Cumberland Village Museum

It was an awesome evening with a bit of snow and not too cold out, especially with the hot chocolate to warm us.

The girls waited in line to see Santa and if you look carefully, Ken is peeking in the window!

Thank you cousins.  That was so fun!!!

Christmas morning was so fun....  Fart blaster for Christmas.  Thanks Dad!

My family knows me so well.   I got some thoughtful amazing gifts.

Sid LOVES her new Ipad mini.  She is growing up so fast.

We spend a couple cold days riding with our friend on Zip Pow.  Sid loves being around horses and especially Zip and Vicky.

This is my new baby, my second child. The  D750.  It is taking my photography to an entire new level.

We closed out our celebrations with a great new years party with good friends.

It has been a spectacular year.  Can't wait to see where 2015 takes us.

December Felting Fun

 The tree went up amidst a myriad of needle felting.  Lots of orders for Christmas and it is keeping me busy and inspired!  We were (rightfully) worried about putting the try up with a 1 year old kitty in the house.  You can see why.

 Almost festive...

 The tree came down 5 times before I thought of tying one side to the front door handle and the other side to the couch leg.  We didn't even bother taking out ornaments this year.  Too risky!

 

 I made a wool Jagger in the tree for memory sake.  That way he will always be in the Christmas tree even after he grows out of the habit (ya right!).

Over the holidays I made 3 cat caves.  There were some happy cats this Christmas.

 

I made a second one like this with a blue background, it was gorgeous! 

All I saw on FB in the mornings were comments about Elf on The Shelf.  A mischievous elf who watches to see if you are good and reports back to Santa.  While the kids sleep he often gets into trouble.  Kids love the shenanigans of this little guy.  I hate the entire idea of telling kids someone is watching them to make sure they are good.  I want my kid to be good intrinsically, because she knows it is the right thing, not because she wants presents.  I digress.... anyways I needle felted these three little guys and called them the kindness elves.  The came every night for a mission in kindness for Sid.  They left notes and ideas and promoted thoughtfulness, giving, and kindness.

 We did this instead of an advent calendar and Sid LOVED it.  The gave her missions right up until Dec. 24 when they gave her an awesome DR. Who book to thank her for all her hard work.  The missions included:
Pack up old toys in good shape to donate to the thrift shop
Bake cookies and give them to all your friends
Make cat nip wool balls for the cat and extras to bring to the shelter cats in Russell
Tell friends and kids at karate one amazing thing about themselves.
Make thank you cards ahead of time to give over Christmas.
Pack up a box of books and bring them to the Doctors office
Get an angel from the angel tree
They left 40.00 and asked her to shop for the food bank.
Make decorations for you and your friends trees.
Help someone out before they ask for it. 
Etc.
We just kept coming up with ideas to do nice things for others and had wonderful talks about attitude and emotions and how just one little person or one little smile can change so much.  Like throwing a rock into a river... watch the ripples of kindness spread.

Sid hopes the elves come back next year.  What a success!
