Sid and I had a lovely drive up to Granny and Grandpa's in the middle of the week. Kenny stayed home to work and take care of the dogs so it was a girls only trip. We missed Dad a lot but Granny and Grandpa always have lots of fun things for us to do.
After dinner on the first night, I was so excited to see Granny's Evening Roses. They bloom and open in a matter of seconds and only at night. We all went down to the campfire and stationed ourselves to watch these beautiful flowers open.

This flower opened in about 20 seconds. It was awesome to see and very much like real life time laps photography. We were treated to about 30 blooms opening over a 4 to 5 minute period. Very cool. Once it was dark Sid treated us to about 45 minutes of singing and dancing. She would stand on a high rock and sing in her normal voice then jump to a low rock and sing really low. She had us in stitches.
Day two we were treated to a special surprise. Sid's cousins, George and Liam came to visit with their mom Eleni. It was wonderful seeing them. Last time we saw George he was just learning to walk. He is turning 4 this month and his little brother Liam is 18 months.
Granny took all the grand kids to the most amazing park we have ever seen. It has a huge splash pad, climbers, skate park and little kids skate park. Fully supervised and clean. Here Sid does one of those things Sid does best, climb.

Here is George, Liam and Sid. Liam is a busy little guy who just loves his big brother so much. He happily follows George around trying so hard to play like a big kid. It was wonderful to meet him and to see Eleni. I could have sat and chatted with them for hours but with little kids time tends to slip by.
Liam stayed at the splash pad with Granny, George hit the climber to play Star Wars and Sid took to the skate park with her running bike to do some tricks. She didn't let that dress slow her down one bit!

Who's there?
Elephant
Elephant who?
Aren't you glad you're not an elephant?
And they laughed and laughed and laughed. It is nice for someone to finally appreciate Sid's jokes. George is such a sweet little guy. He and Sid had a lot of fun however Sid is going to have to brush up on her knowledge of Star Wars. George really wanted her to play star wars with him but they settled on jokes, tag, duck, duck goose (with two, it was very funny), red light green light and what time is it mr. wolf.

And for a first time ever, Sid found a friend who she can balance with on the teeter totter!
