Fundraising

The last weekend of September was filled with some fun-(d) raising!  A couple of my good friends organized a golf tourney for Sid and it was the first time Ken and I played golf in about 10 years.  It was awesome.
It was hot and sunny and a great time swinging the clubs again.  Through this tourney my hockey friends a raised $700.00 for Sid to go to Dublin.  Thank you so much everyone.  Your generosity and support is truly appreciated and is very humbling.
The next day, I balanced out the karma by donating my time and my photography to the CEREC pink ribbon ride in Larose Forest.  It was a full day and an amazing event which raised over $20,000.00 for breast cancer research.  This summer I had two friends who had double mastectomies.  Breast cancer touches too many lives.

Sid participated in the event by doing all the draws.  She was so excited to be around all the horses and horse people.  Vicky (ZipPow's mom) has promised to teach Sid to ride this winter.  Once Dublin is over and we are back into the swing of things, Sid and Vicky plan on spending lots of fun time together at the barn.
