Our first tourney of 2015 was awesome! Sid swept all her categories earing three firsts and Mom competed in kata earing a first and fighting earning a second.
After watching Sid at the worlds I no longer get nervous at these tiny local tournaments. She is awesome, she always "turns it on" just as she needs to.

As always she wowed the judges with her Ch'uan fa and no one can touch her scores.
With lots of training from Sid and Sigung, Mom is coming along. Still a white belt but taking 1st in kata once again!
Sid was so proud of my kata and fights. I got the biggest hug and she told me how nervous she was watching me compete. Ha! Tables are turned :)
Sid fights another BIG girl and finishes the fight with a quick 3-0 victory with a beautiful hook kick to the helmet. Controlled and perfectly timed. The judge in black behind her asked to have his picture taken with her after seeing her forms and her fights. He was excited to meet a two time world champion and was just thrilled to talk with her. She is 9 but gets a lot of attention from adults, she handles herself with grace and is thankfully very humble.
And here once again she wins first showing everyone how it is done. When she does her bow form she is frightening.
What a great day. The best part was that Dad was there to cheer both of his girls on and he was our biggest fan! He ran from ring to ring, kept us fed, took lots of pictures and chauffeured us 2.5 hours in one of the worst driving days of the winter. We couldn't have done it without him!!!!
