We had a really fun week now that everything has started up again. We have a short preschool program on Mondays, nursery school two mornings a week, skating lessons and swimming. Sid seems to really enjoy being busy because the busier we are the more self confidence she gets. As you will see in the video we went to our second skating lesson this week and Sid took to the ice like she has always skated. The outdoor rinks have been easy for her to skate on because they are rougher and she steps more than skates but this was the first time she was determined to skate the entire class by herself! She kept saying "don't touch me, I CAN do it!" and that she did! In the pictures you can see her with her friends drawing on the ice and playing games. It is a really good program.
On Wednesday we went swimming and she wore her new floaty swim suit and was swimming all by herself in the big pool. She would jump in and go under water and then pop up and swim to me. Again I kept being told "Don't touch me mom, I CAN do it!".
We didn't have a lot of time at home but we had fun cutting and making cards for all her stuffed animals (especially Benny the tiger).

Last week we purchased Sid's car seat. It is the best on the market, a Britax Frontier. We used to have the Britax Marathon when Sid was little but it expired so we were really happy to get this one. Everything about this seat is amazing except for the price... gulp... but with the purchase of a Britax car seat you get a great L shaped box! No joke, this box has been so many things this last week. It seems to be holding on to the title of Rocket Ship though. Is there anything better for a kid than a cool box?

Reading to Perogie - you can tell he REALLY likes that, especially the head lock.

Nap time for astronauts
Way to go Sid we are so proud of you, you are a great skater. You will have to teach Addy how to skate when she gets older and can wear skates for sure. Hope to see you guys soon.
