Signs of spring have me a bit behind in posting this week. We spent much time outside again enjoying the weather and good friends. We even went back to visit our secret fort and left food for the bunnies who are living there. Our Friday indoor playgroup has ended and I am now organizing an outdoor play venue. We will bounce between two locations and hope for good weather on Fridays for the next few months. We were at the Arboretum this week, what fun!
This is the greatest climbing tree which one of Sid's friends named The Scratching Tree.

Say WHAT??? This kids expressions just crack me up. We were just heading out to the woods with a bag of salad cuttings and an old baguette that had just about turned into stone. We had plans to leave the animals a little feast.

Wednesday was the best day of the week. We met up with friends and had a 4 hour party in the woods!
First bug of the year was a ladybug!
Having a picnic lunch and watching the deer. It was a touch surreal, as we sat in the noon sun, watched a deer, had a squirrel running circles around us with chickadees flitting about. It was something right out of a Disney movie!

Eye on the Prize. The deer love apples, it is really easy to convince them to stick around if you have a sack full of apples to throw to them.

This week at home we even heard our first spring peeper. He/she is early but such a welcome sound.
