4 Way Street headlined Wabafest this year with a 3.5hr performance Saturday night. This peace loving hippie fest is in its fifth year and it was an amazing evening. Piotr loaned Ken his camper and Ken lived like a rock star for the night. He and the band were stellar and had fans who traveled from all over Ontario to see them play. I am so proud of him!

Friday, before Ken left for the festival, it was super hot still so he and Sid spent some time in the pool. Our little fish has become quite the swimmer. No floaties, no life jacket required. She can swim the length of the pool, sit on the bottom and bounce up, dive and cannonball. We certainly have had weather conducive to swimming!

Ken and Sid were watching Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (again) and Sid asked Dad what Hagrid was carrying in the woods. "A crossbow" says Dad. "What's a crossbow?" asks Sid. So Dad brought Siddy home a play crossbow so she could hunt down whatever was killing the unicorns!

Saturday was another scorching day and we were invited to Huwyl's b-day party. He turned 6. We got to spend the day on his 95 acre property where they are currently building their dream home. It was an awesome day and sooooooo hot!

We stopped by the museum on Monday and were lucky enough to get to tour the lighthouse. It isn't open often, I have only been in it once before. The coolest thing is that it is from Cape Breton, only about 2 hours from the cottage.

And now a Lily update. OMG what a sweet dog she is. She adores Sid and is thrilled to play "dog school". Sid has been trying to teach dog and cat school for at least 4 years. Up until now she has succeeded but her participants are usually captives. Lily volunteers for school and follows Sid around. Here was storytime.
