The Weekly Review

The little one is doing great.  Hand is all healed up and she is back to her old bouncy, karate, full of life self.
I haven't had time to post this past week because it has been a BUSY time here.  Lots of stuff going on and little time to sit and ponder.

Well little time for some of us to ponder life.  Maggie, has life all figured out!
The Saturday of Easter weekend we went to a family get-together in Montreal to celebrate one of Ken's Aunts 80th birthday.  It was so fun.  Sid was quoted as saying "This is the BEST time of my life!" as she danced, spun, twirled and did a Karate demo for the 50 people in attendance!
Daddy took the stage and did a little bit of a roast then played lots and lots of music.  The family danced and sang their hearts out!
Listen to some traditional french singing by Kenny and co.  French Song
All Sid's second cousins (Ken's cousins kids) were french but that didn't hamper the play and smiles.  Sid had her four cousins with her and a bunch of of littles to play with and language was just not a barrier.  Sid would have stayed all night if she could have.  These are great memories in the making.

And speaking of making.....

Ta-da!  My first attempt at dying wool.  I was given a sample of eco-friendly dye to try and I love it.  I am purchasing the starter set of dyes so I can create any colours I need as I need them.  So easy and so much fun to take control over another aspect of my works.

I have been stuck ordering on-line or I take a trip down to the fibre shop to find they don't have the right colours in stock.  This is a thing of the past!

Here is the new Mallard family playmat attached to the bunny playmat.  Little kids are going to LOVE these!  Monday night I have a speaking engagement with the spinner and weavers guild.  I have never been one to enjoy public speaking especially not to a room of 60 people.  Oh well....  I am going to do my best to not bore everyone to death with my stammering and stumbling over words.  I hope that since this is something I know about I will be able to present it well.  Wish me luck!
Finally the last piece of news is that Sid will be travelling to the Provincial Tryouts for Team Canada next weekend.  We will compete on the Saturday, visit with Addy and family then stop in at Granny and Grandpa's on the way home.  It will be a fun packed awesome holiday away.  Can't wait!  Wish her luck, the top 8 in each division gets to move on to compete for Team Canada here in Ottawa in May.
