Our Classes Outside of Home

We work hard at home and play hard outside of home.  We took a few videos of some of the action this week during Sid and Lilly's handling class.

And now for our newest endeavour, Choir!  Sid is absolutely loving it and has decided she wants to continue into the next semester which will run from January to June.  They will have a mini show singing with the Funky Mamas at the end of October and will do their final concert on November 24th at Pressed for this term.
Sid's choir is for 5 - 8 year old homeschoolers and they call themselves The Sparrows.
The kids wrote this song as their starting and ending song and Choir director Chris helps them preform it as they leave.

And of course there is ALWAYS Kajukenbo.  Sigung wants the kids to try their hands at grappling in tournaments this year so as well as the kata's and sparring, the kids are training really heavily in Brazilian Jujitsu right now.  Below Sid works on her Reversal Number 1.

Sid locks her legs and grabs her opponent
Dropping her legs and tucking a knee.
 She shrimps
Pulls up on her elbow and scissors her legs
and flip.
Now, don't let him up!!!

The kids are doing well with the jujitsu and are learning some pretty high level chokes and holds.  It will be very interesting to see how they do against full time jujitsu clubs.

Now back to work the week is just beginning...
