Reece and Sid hanging out
More waiting and playing
Tough girls!
The hardware.
Kids are called to the rings and the tournament can begin. Sid looks a touch nervous as she waits to be called for Kata.
Doing her thing, here is her intro and Kata 1
Waiting to see how she placed. Her Kata was fantastic!
Second place. Missed the big trophy by .1 but did super well. Her score was 6.6, 6.4, 6.6, 6.2, 6.4, highest she has scored so far. Next tournament she will have to raise the level of difficulty to get more points.
Fighting next.
Reece took it 5 - 4
Last fight for a medal or trophy was against Gigantor. Actually this girl was the third shortest in the category but is turning 12 years old on Valentines day. Sid was clearly out matched but gave it her best shot.
Sigung's coaching advice was "Sidney, don't forget to jump!" Jade won the fight 3 - 0
Sid takes third in fighting.
What a great day with friends from the club and tough competition. Once again Sid stood out and had another Sensai request she comes to his tournament in two weeks so it looks like tourney training will continue for a bit longer at the club.

Congrats to this past weekends competition team. Missing: Justin, Skyler, Iohanna, McKenzie, Megan and Dave.
Everyone took home one or two medals again making Kajukenbo a greatly appreciated art within the martial arts community. Sigung is a terrific teacher and our kids are incredible students. Good job to everyone big and little!
